AUDITION INFORMATION & RESOURCES

STUDENTS MUST BE FULLY REGISTERED IN ORDER TO AUDITION

Students should be passionate, hard-working, and have a keen understanding of committing to the success and joy of putting on a great production regardless of the role they may or may not be cast in.

AUDITIONS FOR A LEADING ROLE:

Students interested in auditioning for a principal or featured speaking role should prepare approximately one minute of a song sung by the character they are most interested in portraying. While we will typically only hear about one minute during auditions, students should be familiar with the entire song. If you are interested in multiple roles, simply choose the song that best showcases your vocal ability, acting skills, and personality.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ENSEMBLE ROLE:

Students auditioning for the ensemble may prepare approximately 30 seconds of any song from Mary Poppins Jr., or simply come ready to meet the directors. During auditions, we may ask students to read a few lines from the script, participate in simple acting exercises, or learn a short movement combination.

No previous theatre experience is required.

We are looking for students who are eager to learn, willing to work hard, and excited to be part of the magic of Mary Poppins Jr.
