Welcome to Pop Star Paradise, where the stage is set for an unforgettable summer of music and magic! Students enjoy belting out chart-topping hits from their favorite pop sensations like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Beyoncé. Each day is a journey through the melodies and beats that define the pop scene, with expert instructors guiding campers through vocal techniques and staging to bring these songs to life. And the excitement doesn't stop there – as the week unfolds, anticipation builds for the grand finale: the optional talent show where campers can showcase their newfound skills and shine like the stars they admire. From electrifying performances to unforgettable memories, Pop Star Paradise is where dreams take center stage, and music unites hearts!

Each day brings new opportunities for our young adventurers to explore, from stepping into the shoes of beloved characters to crafting their own tales of heroism and wonder. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, campers will unleash their creativity, build lasting friendships, and ignite their passion for storytelling. Join us this summer and let your child's imagination soar in an enchanting world where the possibilities are endless!" Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.
In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.
Written to flow seamlessly between land and sea, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. provides plenty of opportunities to bring these locations to life through creative movement and configurations. The fantasy of being underwater means your entire cast and crew can let their imaginations run wild.
Mahaffey Theater's Summer Camp is brought to you under the artistic direction of Nancy Sears and Sears Studio Performing Arts Academy. Sears Studio works to find the highest caliber of instructors to facilitate our summer camp in tandem with Bill Edwards Foundation for the Arts Education and Outreach Coordinator, Katrina Young.
